The Federal Association for the Advancement of Visible Minority (FAAVM) is involved in the field of electoral activities since its founding in 2002, working to establish and advance the principles of democracy and political rights as stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the INTERNATIONAL COVENANT ON CIVIL AND POLITICAL RIGHTS, and promoting electoral reform.

The design and establishment of FAAVM Political Party, referred to as the FAAVM Civil Rights Party, is a vital component of these democratic processes, and the enhancement of minority representation, which consists of Americans, Africans, Asians, Europeans, Caribbean and other international citizens, identified as Visible Minorities in Canada.

Subsequently, the FAAVM Civil Rights Party (CRP) promotes an integrated approach for the prevention of future social conflicts based on socioeconomic inequalities, and coordinates leadership outreach programmes and ministries specifically aiming to inclusively involve minority citizens and groups to participate in general elections and/or by-elections, whereas minority may have a voice, contributing and influencing public policy making, affecting their lives and their communities and their political interests.
